Combat Isolation Through Shared Reading Experiences
Join us in reducing loneliness and fostering connection through the power of books.
Did you know?
Millions of older adults in the United States face social isolation, leading to loneliness, boredom, and a lack of mental stimulation.
This isolation harms both mental and physical health, increasing the risk of depression, cognitive decline, and chronic diseases.
Our Solution
A Noble Novel is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating isolation among older adults through the power of shared reading experiences. We collect gently used books accompanied by heartfelt notes from donors, wrap them, and distribute to individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or who are aging in place in Northern Virginia.
Benefits for the Community
A personal note and a good book can foster connection and belonging, provide mental stimulation, and reduce loneliness among older adults.
Benefits for Donors
Give new life to your favorite books, share personal stories, and make a meaningful difference in others' lives.
Help us reach more seniors by sharing our mission with your friends, family, book clubs, schools, and community organizations. Organize a book drive to collect donations and inspire others to get involved.
Spread the Word
Choose a book you'd like to share.
Write a personal note explaining why you loved it or what it means to you.
Find a drop-off location near you or schedule a book pickup. Currently, we only operate in Northern Virginia.
Don't have a hard copy of the book? Send us a note and we'll source it for you!
